I am photographer Jari Heikkilä — a portrait photographer based near Jyväskylä, working from my studio in Muurame. For me, portrait photography is a way to discover a person’s authenticity and present it as a visually clear and moving image. My style is natural and effortless: I look for the client’s personality rather than artificial poses. Why choose me for portrait photography? I start by listening: we discuss your wishes in advance and plan the setting together, whether a studio backdrop or a location. My studio in Muurame offers a calm environment, but I’m also happy to photograph on location around the Jyväskylä area if you prefer a more natural feel. During the session I offer gentle guidance on poses and expressions — I avoid stiff posing and aim to capture genuine moments. In post-production I respect naturalness: I make necessary corrections but keep the final image faithful to the client. In addition to portrait photography, I also create corporate and professional images (CV/LinkedIn headshots). For these I deliver a professional, easy-to-use visual style suitable for social media and résumés. Since portrait photography is my primary specialty, I approach corporate headshots with the same portrait sensibility while always putting the client’s needs first. My working method is smooth and client-focused. Often the images are available to view and choose from shortly after the shoot, and I gladly assist with selections, crop formats and file types tailored to your intended use.
