Hi — I’m Teija, the cheerful and relaxed portrait photographer behind Moodphoto in Forssa. My specialty is portrait photography: my goal is to capture a person’s personality, feeling and story in a single image. My style moves between fashion influences, vintage touches and a romantic mood; I love the film look, polaroids and black-and-white expression, which often give images a timeless atmosphere. I prefer to work in natural light and in varied environments — my motto is “the world is my studio.” I don’t maintain a permanent studio; instead we shoot where the atmosphere is right: at the edge of a forest, on the porch of an old house, in the city buzz or in a client’s home. I’m inspired by old buildings, colors and shapes, and I use the surroundings as tools to complement the photographic story. My process is warm and low-threshold. We usually begin with a conversation about your wishes and style, select a suitable location and, if needed, discuss outfits or props. During the session I aim to keep the mood relaxed: I guide natural expressions and movements so any nervousness fades quickly and genuine moments come forward. In post-production I aim for a finished yet lively look; the final image series should tell a story, not just present a portrait. Although portrait photography is my core expertise, I also take commissioned corporate images and fashion shoots for editorial or social media use. In these projects I apply the same focus on personality and atmosphere, while tailoring the approach to the client’s needs and message.
