I’m Jarno Koivula, a portrait photographer based in the Karhula area. For me, portrait photography is a way to express a person’s character in a single image: professional yet human results come from genuine encounters and a relaxed shooting atmosphere. I believe the best photos are made when the subject can be themselves — that’s why I guide gently and keep the shoot clear and comfortable. My approach is simple but precise: we discuss your wishes and the intended use in advance (LinkedIn, corporate headshot, passport photo or a personal portrait), agree on the setting — studio or a chosen location — and create a look that supports your brand or personality. During the session I provide calm, clear direction for expressions and poses, while also seeking natural, candid moments — those often tell the most. I work both in the studio and on location, and I carefully finish each image so it performs well in digital channels and in print. In the final photos I pay attention to light, framing and the authenticity of the expression — the result is ready-to-use, stylish portraits that are easy to apply on a LinkedIn profile, company materials or personal portfolios.
