Portrait photography for me is a way to really see a person — their small expressions, gestures and stories. I am Nina Susi, a photographer based in Kemi, and I approach portrait work from a journalistic, human-centered perspective. More than 30 years of experience in editorial photography have given me the sensitivity to find the moments that make an image feel genuine and compelling. My portrait photography services focus on personal images that strengthen the client’s presence, whether the photos are for private use, social media visibility, or professional profiles such as LinkedIn. I craft images so that expressions and attitude come forward — in a calm, guiding manner but without artificiality. Client wishes, the atmosphere of the images and the shooting environment are always planned together to achieve the intended look and message. One of my special approaches is the "dream shoot": we sit down first and discuss the moods and settings where you want to be seen. The goal is an empowering final result that reinforces your self-image. If needed, I can arrange makeup or styling through trusted local partners to ensure a polished and cohesive look for the shoot. My working style is warm, professional and practical. We begin with a conversation — what do you want the images to communicate, in what environment do you feel best, and what creates a sense of well-being for you? During the shoot I give clear direction while also creating space for natural moments to emerge. In post-production I make sure the final images are ready to use and reflect the desired appearance and tone.
