Studio Adessa

Adessa Heikkinen — Studio Adessa — is a portrait photographer based in Joensuu, focusing on photographing people and creating corporate portrait imagery. My approach is simple: clear, fresh photographs in which the person looks like themselves, but in the best possible light. I trained as a photo artisan at the Tampere Institute of Visual Communication (2008) and hold a vocational qualification in photography. More than twenty years of experience show in careful preparation and meticulous finishing. My working method is client-centred and calm. I often set up a pop-up studio directly on the client’s premises — for example in an office lobby or meeting room — but we can also shoot in a studio-like environment in Joensuu’s Hukanhauta area. I aim to make each subject feel comfortable: I give gentle direction, allow space for natural expression, and collaborate with the client to find the style that best serves the intended use (profile, LinkedIn, company staff gallery, or artist portrait). The photography process includes building good rapport, finding suitable light and environment, and thorough image finishing. I usually choose a natural background where possible, but I can also produce polished studio portraits with a seamless backdrop. Image selection is often done immediately after the shoot together on a computer screen, so the final result is tailored to your preferences. I deliver images fully edited — typically both in color and black & white — to maximize usability across different channels.
