Hi! I’m Aku Mattila, a portrait photographer and visual creator based in Hollola. For me, portrait photography is a way to tell a person’s story in a single image — whether it’s a professional LinkedIn profile, team portraits or a personal portrait. I approach shoots professionally but with a relaxed attitude: the goal is genuine expressions, a clear visual style and images that support your or your company’s communication. My background (photography training at Helsinki Design School combined with bachelor’s and master’s-level business studies, specializing in marketing) together with nine years of experience as an entrepreneur gives me a solid foundation to understand clients’ businesses and plan images that work in practice. I work closely with clients from the start: we plan the style, shooting environment (studio or on location) and intended usage (website, social media, LinkedIn) so the final result supports your brand. My working style is calm and guiding — I make the shoot comfortable even for those who feel uneasy in front of the camera. Sessions can take place in the studio or at a location you choose; I select lighting, backgrounds and framing so the portrait looks professional both on screen and in print. In addition to individual portraits, I offer staff headshot sessions and LinkedIn photography that highlight professionalism and personality. Client focus and keeping to agreed schedules are cornerstones of my work — we agree on image usage, delivery timelines and retouching in advance of the shoot day.
