Studio Torkkeli is a portrait studio based in Tampere that places the person at the heart of its work. For us, a successful portrait is not just an eye-catching composition but an image that says something about who the subject is. We work purposefully to find an authentic expression, gently guide poses and control the lighting so the result feels like you. Our work starts with planning. We discuss the shoot with the client in advance — what the images should communicate, where they will be used (for example LinkedIn, company websites, magazines or the home wall) and what visual mood best supports that message. Our studio enables controlled lighting and a calm shooting environment, but we also photograph on location when a more natural or narrative look is desired. During shoots we prioritize the personal encounter. A relaxed, encouraging atmosphere helps even those who feel nervous in front of the camera: we coach the eyes, head position and small changes in expression so the final images convey the right tone — professional, warmly approachable or empowering depending on the situation. Profile pictures and executive portraits are often planned with light styling: the choice of clothing, background and shooting angle are all part of the finished result. The Studio Torkkeli team consists of trained professionals with long experience in portrait photography and a solid understanding of corporate clients’ needs. We combine technical expertise with a passion for storytelling — which is why our images work equally well on social media, websites and in print. Although our focus is on portrait, profile and corporate photography, we also offer family photography and small-scale brand shoots for businesses.
