I'm Tanja Katajamäki, founder of Katajamäki Visuals — a portrait photographer based in Järvenpää. Portrait photography is my passion: I aim to capture each person's personality and genuine expressions with a calm, reliable approach. Naturalness is at the heart of my work — I most often shoot on location using ambient light, but studio lighting is available when we need a specific look. I always choose a direction that helps clients feel comfortable and authentic. I create a relaxed, present atmosphere during the session: we talk, I offer gentle guidance and I give time to find the moments when expressions and presence feel most natural. This makes the portraits lively and personal — they tell the story of that particular moment. Accessibility and client well‑being are especially important to me. I offer a scent‑free photo session option and take special sensitivities and allergies into account when planning shoots. My goal is for everyone to experience the portrait session as safe and pleasant. My services include classic portrait photography as well as practical professional images such as LinkedIn and passport photos. While portraits are my primary specialty, I also provide personal images for company use when needed — always tailored to the client’s wishes and style. My working process is clear and client‑friendly: we discuss your wishes in advance, plan the location and style, and carry out the session calmly. After the shoot I deliver a preview gallery from which you choose the best images for final editing. I also offer high-quality prints, because a printed photograph preserves atmosphere in a different way than a screen image.
