I’m Jenni Tokola, a portrait and headshot photographer based in Mäntsälä. For me, portrait photography is a way to tell a person’s story in a single image: I aim to reveal genuine expression, personality and that exact feeling that makes you who you are. I work primarily in natural light and in my studio I create a calm, warm atmosphere where the subject can relax and trust my direction. My specialism is portrait and personal photography — confirmation, matriculation and graduation photos are especially close to my heart. I prepare each session carefully: I send you preparation guidelines, we plan location and style together, and I always take your wishes into account. During the shoot I keep the mood easy and conversational while guiding poses naturally so expressions stay authentic and the images convey the intended atmosphere. I also emphasize the role of color in images — I photograph with colors in mind and highlight tones that suit you best. This shows up in lighting and backgrounds as well as in clothing and props chosen for the session. My studio has a variety of backdrops and props, but shoots can also be done on location or at a place you choose if you want variety or an image in a specific environment. For profile and CV/headshot photography I focus on clarity and professionalism: I advise on expression and wardrobe choices so the photo works well on LinkedIn, your résumé or a company website. Although my main focus is portrait work, I always tailor personal images to the client’s goals. I am approachable, flexible and passionate — I work so the client feels as natural as possible and so the session itself becomes a pleasant memory.
